Ethiopians can do more to rid of the ethnic junta and its butlers soon

Happy Eid Mubarak for our people!  Proud of you for showing the brazen regime what Ethiopiawinet is all about. God has a way of testing our resolve and the brutal regime is one among many. If we fail to do right in defending what we established 1000s years ago we will disappoint Allah and loss everything as intended for us. We are beautiful people that can’t fall victim for a small time ethnic tyranny with identity crises; kin to destroy our love of people, country, flag and religions. No matter what, we are our people’s keepers and must reject anything coming from Woyane.
Thank you for showing us the way. It is the Ethiopian thing to do.

In the land of the lawless Woyane everything seems the opposite of what it is. Unity, freedom, equality and development are turned in to segregation, tyranny, inequality and corruption.Happy Eid Mubarak for our people
The outdated propaganda to change fiction into reality is as dead as the late ethnic tyrant himself. The gross violation on our people by brutal ethnic hoodlums in uniform-labeling us terrorist and extremist is unforgivable insult to sensuality of Ethiopians. The futile attempt to torment, jail and murder the way out of the demand for freedom and to surrender for rule of law is stupidity of the worst proportion. The drama of economic growth; pandering for criminal elements and corrupt foreign investors is a sorry way of saying corruption is a developmental theory invented by the late tyrant and the legendry conman of Woyane. Most unfortunately, the lookalike ‘Medias’ spinning TPLF’s fictions as truth and its terroristic rule as legitimate governance is noting more than a slap on the face on the people of Ethiopia and a wish to sustain ethnic tyranny by all means necessary.
When we say civilized people uncivilized regime this is what exactly it means. The question before our people isn’t what the corrupt and brutal Woyane regime is all about, that is a closed case. But, how herds of delusional and corrupt operatives and supporters led to believe there is something out of uncivilized regime to be ridden like an abandoned donkey with no owner or honor? It is as mysteries as the sorry ethnic stooges present at the funeral of the late ethnic tyrant full of crocodile tears.
There is no glory supporting ethnic tyranny. At this junction in history the only thing the sorry bunch must be told again-and-again is stupidity isn’t virtue, criminality isn’t aptitude and deception isn’t intelligence. They must be made to understand; without any ambiguity that freedom and democracy isn’t on the table for negotiation with a self-declared minority ethnic tyranny. Nor the so called fake economic development and growth can be a prelude for ethnic warlords’ to stick around to do more of the same. The scare tactics and pointing fingers on others through the propaganda machine isn’t going to save ethnic warlords from responsibility of their crimes either. As our people rightly put it ‘ኢቲቪ ሌባ’
No matter what, the ruling ethnic junta and its sorry apologist must get use to the fact that they will be wringed until they surrender for democratic rule and give up the loots they stole that belong to the people. If that isn’t clear enough by now; stupidity, criminality and deception is the only hope left for them to hang on until the Day-of- Reckoning arrives.
Meanwhile, millions of Ethiopians in-and-out of the country are telling the ruling ethnic warlords over-and-over again to stay away from our people, country, flag and religion and surrender for rule of law in peace. But, they continued to kill, torment and robe their stay for 22 long years.
But yet, the institutions and the network of cadres that sustain the regime are untouched. The security apparatus continue to spy, harass, jail and kill Ethiopians with impunity. The regime’s agents in Diaspora continue freely spy, threaten, endanger us and engage in character assassination of Ethiopians. The regime’s officials and operatives and their families continue to run corrupt businesses and money laundering scheme; spending it lavishly uncontested.  The regime’s international apologist and funders continue to cover up and finance atrocities and corruptions openly. And, the lookalike Medias continue to spin the regime fictions into lookalike reality by falsifying the truth against the people of Ethiopia uncontested.
Ethiopians are divided and detracted to defend our people and country from Woyane crime and paid dearly for it.  Some of us tripped over each other on Woyane’s propaganda and misunderstood the meaning of unity to open the door for Woyane to do all the damages it did on our honor of our people and country for too long.
The time has come unity is not a slogan but the way to get rid of tyranny and reclaim our honor. As expected the beneficiaries of disunity are showing their ugly faces everyday. We must reorganize to challenge Woyane’s operatives and its international enablers beyond rallies, letter writing and petitions campaigns. Existing advocacy institutions must reorganized to do effective campaign on behalf of Ethiopians in unity. More institution; specializing in different area must be established to challenge the financier and apologist of Woyane tyranny.

Ethiopiawinnet: Council for the Defense of Citizen Rights

PRESS RELEASE
ethiopian national flag, Unity of Ethiopia is paramountThe ruling party in Ethiopia, the TPLF-led EPRDF, has shown a determination to control the historically autonomous organizations of the Ethiopian Muslim community for two years now.  This move has triggered an equally determined but non-violent popular resistance among wide sections of the Muslim Community.  The ruling party’s tendency to control virtually all civic and religious institutions has some parallels with the earlier capture of the Holy Synod and the administrative structure of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.  This mode of governance of the totalitarian minority regime has been clear for some time now:  capture all governmental, economic, political, and religious institutions of national significance, and then undermine the resolve of the people for a united resistance by sowing constant discord along ethnic, sectarian, and regional lines.  Aside from the deep insecurity endured by citizens, this divide-and-rule strategy is now threatening to undermine the stability and the sovereignty of the anchor state of the Horn of Africa.
Unfortunately, the past twenty years have also coincided with an unprecedented level of politically-motivated inter-communal violence abroad and at home. As far as we can tell, Ethiopian mosques and zawiyas which traditionally have been run by various Sufi orders have faced orchestrated attempts by Salafist converts of the Wahhabi sect to take over the administration of the Islamic institutions of the country. Lately, a sect known as Al-Ahbash, variously described as a moderate mix of Sufism and liberal Islam, has also entered the fray.
At the same time, this turmoil and imported sectarianism has given rise to a growing sense of unease and insecurity among the Christian Community emanating from its appreciation of the longstanding policy of certain Arab governments to use religion to destabilize Ethiopia and to endanger the inter-faith harmony and understanding that has prevailed among the people. On the one hand, the past two decades have witnessed the burning of churches by extremist elements and other tale-tale signs of the presence of Al-Qaeda operatives determined to destabilize the state (The attempt on the life of ex-President Mubarak while on a state visit to Addis Abeba in 1996 and Al-Ithad’s violent activities in the Ogaden are unmistakable examples). On the other hand, the replacement of the leadership of the Supreme Islamic Council and the academic administration of Awolia College by government approved Al-Ahbashists is a clear violation of the fundamental principle of separation of state and religion ostensibly enshrined in the country’s constitution.
The Muslim Community has so far shown remarkable unity and perseverance in presenting its demands in the ongoing nationwide “let our voice be heard” campaigns.  To quell the peaceful protests which are increasingly joined by Ethiopians of all faiths, the government has launched ill-considered crackdowns arresting scores of Muslim protest leaders under the all-too-common charges of terrorism.  A disturbingly rising number of killings of protesters have also been reported in various localities in Arsi, Wollo, and Addis Abeba.
We join human rights organizations and political parties in categorically condemning these atrocities, and demand that those responsible be brought to account under the law. We urge Ethiopians of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds to stand together to turn this civic resistance into an all-embracing demand for democracy, equality, respect for the rule of law and the human rights of all regardless of their religious or ethnic affiliation.
We also strongly encourage all Ethiopians of good will to carefully draw the sobering lessons from the latest turn in the struggle for human rights in Ethiopia.  First, we must no longer allow the divide-and-rule strategy of a minority regime to lull us into thinking in terms of “us versus them” since there is no “them” among Ethiopians.  Second, there should no longer be an illusion about the anti-Ethiopian, anti-democratic, and atheistic nature of the ruling party. Thirdly, we should not allow foreign interests or extremists amongst us to hijack the peaceful, struggle for religious, economic, or political freedom.   Finally, we must never forget that no individual Ethiopian or group can be free until everyone else is also free.  We all share an indissoluble political fate. As such, we must close ranks and rise up in unison to fight for the rights of all.
Ethiopiawinnet, therefore:
  • Strongly urges all Ethiopians to condemn the ongoing arrests and killings of peaceful protestors for religious freedom;
  • Calls upon all  Ethiopians to come together and act in unison against all attempts to divide the culturally diverse but fraternal people of Ethiopia; and to work together to bring about a robustly inclusive democratic order;
  • Calls upon International Humanitarian Organizations to expose the dangerously misguided state interference in the internal affairs Muslims and Christians, including the restrictions on the peaceful exercise of the civil rights guaranteed by the Ethiopian Constitution itself;
  • Strongly advises all compatriots to turn this opportunity as a common inspiration to fight for full respect of the universally recognized rights of all citizens.  We must do this not as Ethiopian Muslims or Ethiopian Christians, but as Muslim Ethiopians or Christian Ethiopians—in the bold recognition that we are all Ethiopians first and foremost; and
  • We wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a happy Eid al-Fitr.

Crime against Humanity in Ethiopia

Ethiopian government forces committed atrocities on peaceful Muslims on Eid Al-fater Holiday

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
By Nejashi Justice Council
The Ethiopian government forces committed an indiscriminate gross human rights violations and a brutal crackdown on peaceful Ethiopian Muslims during the celebration of Eid-Al-fatr Holiday in Addis Ababa and all over the country. The extent of the atrocity includes killing of five, heavy handed crack down of thousands and the arbitrary detention of Tens of thousands people. The attack disproportionately targeted women including reports of sexual assault.Ethiopian government forces committed atrocities on peaceful Muslims on Eid Al-fater Holiday.
In a separate incident, eye witness account and Media sources reported, on August 3 , 2013,at least fourteen people were confirmed to have been killed in the town of Kofele, West Arsi Zone , Oromia Regional State when the Agazi special military brigade fired live ammunition on peaceful protesters. According to eyewitness who reported to NJC sources, among the victims include an infant, 14 years old boy and elderly people. It has been reported that the killing took place when the Agazi special military brigade trying to arbitrarily arrest the Imam of local Mosque. In addition to those killed, more than 35 people were severely wounded while scores of Muslims arrested.
Ethiopian Muslims have been staging peaceful protest for more than 18 months against government coercive religious conversion to its imported religious sect .The Regime opted to silence Muslim protestors by force and different repressive measures. It is remembered that On October 22, 2012 in Gerba, South Wollo and on April 27, 2012 in Asasa, Arsi Zone the federal police committed similar massacre against Muslims. Nejashi Justice Council believes such despicable use of force against innocent and unarmed civilians throughout the country on the same group because of their faith is a clear case of crime against humanity.
Nejashi Justice Council condemns, in its stricter terms of condemnation, these atrocities committed by the Ethiopian Regime security forces against the innocent Muslims of Addis ababa, Kofele, Dessie, Wolikite and throughout the country. We call all stakeholders, including international community and human right groups at local level to deplore these atrocities on civilian people.
Nejashi Justice Council also calls on the Ethiopian government to halt the bloody response to Ethiopian Muslims’ peaceful demand. The Ethiopian Muslims demand nothing in their peaceful protest but their legitimate and constitutional right.
