MOST TROUBLED ZONE OF WORLD

by Nathnael Abate(Nathy de saint)
One of the most complicated and unstable places in the world by its socio-political condition is the horn of Africa .The countries in this region have  gone through trouble chaos for centuries and the problem is still going on. The  Place where my  forefathers live, where I was born and brought up is this region in the county named Ethiopia .This land locked and the most populated country in the world has many ethnic groups. Some of the major Ethnic groups are Oromo, Amhara, Sidama, Tigray and so on their size respectively. Most of the country problem is political unstability which is based on Ethnic politics and one ethnic group based political power. When a certain group come in to power somehow they are not collectively from all ethnic groups instead they are from one ethnic group and they don’t take into account the rights of another majority or minority ethnic groups. To ensure and sustain their power position this groups use highly militarized ruling system and they become a lifelong absolute dictatorships. Currently the ruling minority junta and military backed Woyane or TPLF are the rebel groups back from 1960’s  seized power in 1991 and ruling the country until today .Originally the mission of this group was to liberate Tigray but later on it was collaborated with some other forces including the OROMO LIBRATION FRONT(OLF) and  they were able to control the whole nation. Immediately after they held power, they excluded the Oromos  libration front and some else groups. This TPLF or woyane or current Ethiopian regimes birth place was Tigray and they all were from Tigray which makes up about only 6% of the population of  whole Ethiopia. All the power of the Government is held by this group who are with the same ethnic back grounds. Specially, military power and top officials all are from Tigray which is not acceptable by the rest of country’s ethnic groups. Any criticism or opposition against the government is suppressed by power without questionings. The arresting of journalists, opposition party leaders, disappearing of activist students from colleges and universities, high level of corruption, violence of human rights and inhumane acts are some of the crimes committed by Tigrian libration front (TPLF).In 2005 election the ruling regime proved that it was hited by the public and after that it has taken all the measures to silence opposition groups or free press. The anti-terrorism law is another technique which was discovered by TPLF for the first time introduced in 2009 to silence any opposition or critics. Using this law many journalists, bloggers, students, religious leaders are arrested since then. The Ethiopian regime attracted the international community attention by implementing and introducing  anti-terror law and by pseudo economic growth in the country but recently some of the international community realized that what was been said was not true. Forced displacing native people from their place in the name of investment and villagization in Gambella , which is west of the country, ethnic  cleasing of Amharas from Gumuz region and south of Ethiopia ,forced resettlement of the Oromos, torture of the detainees in prison, human right violation and all other crimes in Ethiopia commited by this Group with the aid of westerns donation money. The Government to government donations helped African dictators to live long in their power while abusing the poor. For instance the forced displacement, villagization and resettlement programs all supported and funded by world bank. Other donations which are given by foreign countries to build infrastructures, public service or to improve education quality were been used to strengthen up woyanes military power, to buy weapons ,to build torture centers ,prisons, to enrich people in power and for all corruption. The donors or aid giving group has no means to see or prove if the money is used for its proper aim or not. We, young Ethiopians and Ethiopian opposition groups strongly condemn government to government aid. If the aid is truly aimed to help people or for certain else objective then, donation should be given to non-government organizations and there must be tight control over the amount which is given. Also there should be some sort of cross check if the money spent for the right objective on the right time. The international community should open its eyes and watch the current inhumane acts in Ethiopia. We (young Ethiopians and opposition groups) kindly ask the international community to stop Aid or Donation to Ethiopian regime. We are the world, we should care for each other.  Each of the developed Nations should pay attention to poor crying voice of Ethiopians. If one nation cares for its nation, provide democracy, freedom, equality, peace and stability for its citizens then why does that nation or government  support financially or another way the Government which oppress, kill, torture or commit inhumane acts on its own people??  Billions of dollars donation helped Ethiopian dictators to commit crime against their own people and to live longer in their power. STOP SUPPORTING THE WOYANES {THE GREEDY BEASTS FROM JUNGLE}.

Third world minded South African media unleashing xenophobic attacks on Ethiopia and Ethiopians

by Getahune Bekele –South Africa
"Waa....Waa..." the alarm bell sounded as Bafana goalie Itumeleng Kune misbehaved at Addis Ababa stadium.
“Waa….Waa…” the alarm bell sounded as Bafana goalie Itumeleng Kune misbehaved at Addis Ababa stadium.
In that incredibly tense Ethiopia game, at one point …an altercation took place between a number of players on the half way line. At this point, the local fans seemed to be aggressively chanting ‘war! War!’
Soccer Laduma newspaper July 3, 2013
“It was obvious that all of us read what this guy said. We were pissed off. Just let him talk…let him talk. Let anyone speak, we must just focus on doing our job. He had his moment speaking that way about SA.”
Bafana player Ricardo Nunes threatening the temperamental Ethiopian international striker Fikru Tefera for the comments he made earlier. Soccer Laduma July 3, 2013.
It all started after the blazing comets of African soccer, the mighty black lions dethroned the highly overrated Bafana by defeating them 2-1 during a world cup qualifier match played at Addis Ababa stadium in front of more than 30-thousand partisan crowd.
Leading the verbal assault on the benevolent and civilized people of Ethiopia with poorly researched poisonous reporting is the soccer Laduma tabloid; the so called Africa’s biggest soccer publication.
The paper always carries stories that are dull and full of platitudes with malignant contents about Africa, a reminder of colonial era journalism where white editors used to push their respective governments agendas of ethnic disharmony and hatred.
Even today depreciating Africa, making extraneous remarks about African countries and bombarding Africa with negative images seems the only way of selling papers for most feeble minded average South African reporters.
Some are not even qualified to be called journalists but gossip mongers of portentous talent and deceptive liars.
Whenever they have to produce a piece concerning Africa, they would drag up a hotchpotch of monstrous lies to create a factious story. Then their inept editors will publish them in Toto without condensing it.
Their soullessness is beyond belief.
We all remember the unnecessarily insulting article written by highly respected South African journalist named Mathews Mpete under the title of “Back to the future” on the Daily Sun tabloid.
“Said one kid at a street corner ‘are you really from South Africa? Can I touch you?” Mr. Mpete wrote after visiting Africa’s diplomatic capital Addis Ababa. He was brutally targeting street kids of Ethiopia in his article as if there are no street kids in his own country. That sums up the Bantustan master race attitude of South African journalists.
Furthermore, what has been said and printed about the crunch world cup qualifier match against the black lions of Ethiopia was simply horrifying.
Soccer Laduma called the flight to the historic land of Abyssinia a “horror Africa trip” and “a hellish experience” for the Bafana players.
In an interview with Soccer-Laduma journalist David Minchella, a Portuguese second tier league flop and Bafana defender Ricardo Nunes who plays his trade in the unknown Slovakian league portrayed the lush and vast West African nation Cameroon as land of disease and poverty.
Speaking like a super star, the idiotic palooka defender argued that the much publicized Minyahel Teshome gaffe is God’s miracle to make South Africa Qualify for Brazil 2014 through the back door.
“God is amazing man! It’s because he saw the sacrifices we went through on our trip to Africa. He saw the sacrifice we made as a group and as individuals…there were so many obstacles in our way. It was too unfair that we must already be out of the world cup. I am definitely positive about things now.” Nunes told the July 3 issue of Soccer-Laduma.
The editors of the same paper, Peter and Clint then went on to wrongfully accuse the black lions fans of chanting ‘war! War!’ during the hotly contested match; forgetting that battle hardened Ethiopians who repeatedly smashed colonialists does not declare war on their visitors however bad they are.
In fact it was South Africans who declared an all-out war on defenseless Ethiopian and Somali refugees prior to their team’s departure sto inland Africa.

Murdering a Sheik in bid to incriminate peaceful Muslim Protestors?

by Nasrudin Osman
“We have No Reason to Kill; but a Cause to Die for.”
Ahmedin Jebel
The Ethiopian government’s intelligence services have resorted to the most cruel and bizarre tactic in a desperate bid to incriminate Muslims in Dessie town who have been holding more than a year of peaceful protests, part of a nationwide protests against government interference in religious affairs.Murdering a Sheik in bid to incriminate peaceful Muslim Protestors
According to reports, Sheikh Nuru has become the first victim of the government’s desperate and devilish attempt to demonize the consistently peaceful movement of the country’s Muslims demanding the full respect of constitutionally guaranteed religious freedom and government non-interference in religious affairs.
Muslims across Ethiopia have been peacefully protesting against the government’s bold attempt to impose a Lebanese-born sect called al-Ahbash for nearly two years now.
Sheikh Nuru, reportedly a follower of the al-Ahbash sect, has been defending the government’s infamous policy of imposing the new sect. He was often presented on the national TV speaking against the legitimate demands of the country’s Muslims and denouncing the ongoing peaceful protests.
It is a solid fact that Sheikh Nuru played a notorious role in the series of brutal attacks by security forces against Muslims of the Dessie town on many occasions. However, neither he nor any other advocate of the government-sponsored al-Ahbash sect have ever been targeted by the peaceful protestors at any time. Ethiopian Muslims have repeatedly underlined that violence is not and will never be their means to ensure the respect of constitutionally guaranteed freedoms and rights.
People suspect that Sheikh Nuru’s stand, which went against the majority of the Muslim community, may have been used to create the “impression” that he could be attacked by people whom he often opposes. It was amidst this scenario that the news of the killing of Sheikh Nuru came out, and the state media was quick to accuse unnamed “extremists” for his death.
People in Dessie town accuse the government for the killing. According to residents of the town the Sheikh may have been assassinated by mercenaries deployed by the government. The sheikh was reportedly shot with three bullets on the head, chest and neck despite the unusual darkness at his neighborhood. Several circumstantial evidences have been emerging to prove that Sheikh Nuru was shot by a skilled sniper and the incident was very-well orchestrated.
People are wondering why the body of Sheikh Nuru was buried the next morning without undergoing proper forensic investigation. They also question the hasty stereotypical allegation of the government purporting “Sheikh Nuru was killed by extremists.”
During the last one year, government security forces killed about four Muslims in Asasa town, Arsi Zone of Oromia Region, another four in Gerba town, Oromia Zone of Amhara Region, two Muslims in Degan town, Oromia Zone of Amhara Region, and a Christian child in Harer city, Harari Regional State. In all but the last one, the victims of these brutal and unlawful killings were described by the infamous state TV as “extremists.”
Despite these unlawful killings and the detention of several hundreds of Muslims across the country, Ethiopian Muslims kept on their mosque-based peaceful protests against the continued government interference in their religious affairs.
Ethiopian Muslims have held several hundreds of peaceful protests across the country over the last one year. They have publicly vowed never to resort to any kind of violence. The movement of Ethiopian Muslims has been aptly articulated by Ustaz Ahmedin Jebel, one of the leaders of the peaceful movement, who is being incarcerated at different government detention facilities for exactly a year now: “We have no reason to kill; but we have a cause to die for.”
