Wendy Sherman’s forked tongue response is to cover up for the Administration policy not misrepresentation

Wendy Sherman’s Response to The Washington Post Editorial regarding the May 1 editorial “Make-believe on Ethiopia” isn’t misrepresentation of her statement but the policy of the Obama Administration.

The poor woman is going deeper and deeper in the sink trying to get out of the hole she put herself in. What is even funny is she is more concerned what the Washington post Editorial said than what thousands of political prisoners telling the world; the TPLF regime is as dangerous as the terrorist she claim it is fighting as a ‘valuable partner’.

It isn’t ‘peacekeeping’ as she said but war-keeping to be ‘valuable partner’ in order to get weapon to prolong its rule. It is not ‘pursuing peace in South Sudan’ but conflict to make the gullible westerners feel good spending more money.

Ethiopia isn’t among the world’s fastest-growing economies as she said but, TPLF is the fastest growing corporation robbing Ethiopians. The country has made significant progress toward Millennium Development Goals because TPLF position itself to channel the funds through its corrupt corporations.

Yes, ‘stability, security and economic development are sustainable only with the development of democratic values’ as she said. And no, ‘Ethiopia has a long road to full democracy’ regardless of you said it ‘publicly there’ ‘or privately here. She has a few steps to full democracy when the Administration takes the road blocks to rid the TPLF regime. After all, if the fastest growing economy regime can’t be able to find people that can count votes appropriately its democracy growing is as fluke as its growing economy. What is not growing is the regime and its teachers that kept it in the same grade for over two decades to grow anything especially democracy.

President Obama suggestion to your comments’ aspirational value and the same hope he have been preaching endlessly on ‘the upcoming election would be a step forward’ have always been empty hope and remain hope only good until the end of his administration. Hope wouldn’t help you escape your responsibility of propping up a dictator with blood on its hands.

She goes on all over the map holding on the Hope Policy of the Administration and insinuating people are imagining they have no voice as the unidentified civil society’s esteemed leaders told her. She said;

“What I said ‘later in the trip’, “Ethiopia is a young country in terms of democracy and over time we hope the political system matures in a way that provides real choices for the people.” I highlighted that more journalists are in jail in Ethiopia than anywhere else in Africa. Civil society leaders told me, “They are about solving problems and being advocates for people who don’t believe they have a voice.”

Unfortunately no one knows which civil society leaders she talked to nor could she tell the difference between civic society and cadres dressed as one. But, what is more telling in her statement the revelation Obama took his time in his busy schedule to help her get out of the mess she got herself in not because out of concern she said the wrong things but Washington Post Editorial exposed the the incoherent policy.

The president recommendation according to her is tell them “my comments were aspirational in hopes that the upcoming election would be a step forward”. It is like a broken record we heard before repeating the same thing he says on everything from climate change to crimes of dictators; a step forward…concerned…look forward… progress…
My people, I am afraid we are not only sold empty hope but we are up against not only Woyane, ISIS, the Arab dictators, the corrupt land raiders, the double dealers but the leaders of the free world too.

In her conclusion, she said it is neither her fault nor the Administration policy but the Washington Post Editorial mischaracterization of… she is not sure of what. She said;

“It is unfortunate the editorial mischaracterized my remarks and, more important, underestimated the fullness of our bilateral relationship. The U.S. government closely monitors the human rights situation and works with Ethiopia to foster a true democracy as part of our valued relationship”.

The United States of America, the home of the free and brave valued its relationship with the smalltime corrupt ethnic tyranny in fostering a true democracy in Ethiopia?

Please…please tell me it is not real… I am hallucinating in my dreams.

Ethiopians should be prepared to make the Obama Administration solely responsible for what happens to Ethiopians under this regime from hereon and notify all responsible parties including the Media.

Petitioning the Federal courts is the first thing to do to make the Administration accountable.

በመጨረሻም በግብጽ ነጻ ወጡ… እኛ ግን መንግስት አለን እንዴ?

የፌስቡክ አርበኛው ቴድሮስ አድሃኖም ቦሌ ሄደው ከሊብያ ነጻ የወጡ ዜጎችን ሲቀበሉ አየን። እፊታቸው ላይ የማፈር ሳይሆን የጀግንነት ስሜት ይነበባል።

አቀባበላቸውም 90 ደቂቃ በእንቴቤ የሚለውን ታሪክ ይመስላል። ኡጋንዳ ላይ የታገቱ ዜጎችዋን ለማስለቀቅ እስራኤል ያደረገችው ገድል። ቴድሮስ አድሃኖምም በኩራት እና በድል አድራጊነት ስሜት ነው ስደተኞቹን የተቀበሉት። መቼም ሼም የሚባል ነገር ከነሱ ዘንድ ጠፍቷል። በስራቸው ማፈር ሲገባቸው አይናቸውን በጨው እያጠቡ የሌላውን ድል እንደራስ ያጣጥሙታል። ህሊና ያለው ሰው ያሳደዳቸውን እና በባእድ ነጻ የወጡ ዜጎቹን ሲመለከት ብርክ ነው የሚይዘው። አልገባቸው ይሆናል እንጂ ክብራቸውን የሚቀንስ ማንነታቸውን የሚፈትን ድርጊት ነው። አስቀድመን በግብጽ መገናኛ ብዙሃን ዜናውን ባንሰማ ኖሮ ደግሞ ሌላ ታሪክ ይነግሩን እንደነበር ጥርጥር የለውም።

ሁኔታቸው አባት እና እናቱን በግፍ ገድሎ ፍርድ ቤት የቀረበውን አይነደረቅ ያስታውሰናል። ወንጀል መፈጸሙን ያመነው ይህ ጎረምሳ የፍርድ ማቅለያ እንዲናገር በመሃል ዳናው በተጠየቀ ግዜ እንዲህ አለ። “ያው አባት እና እናት ስለሌለኝ፤ ለወላጅ አልባ ልጆች እንደሚደረገው ልዩ እንክብካቤ ያስፈልገኛል።”

በአለም-ዓቀፍ መገናኛ ብዙሃን እንደሰማነው እነዚህን ዜጎች ነጻ ያወጣችው ግብጽ ናት። ከአይሲስ ጥርስ ወጥተው ግብጽ ምድርን ሲረግጡ አቀባበል የተደረገላቸው በምንስቴር ደረጃ ሳይሆን በረዕሰብሄር ደረጃ ነው። ከአውሮፕላን ሲውርዱም የግብጽን ባንድራ እያውለበለቡ ነበር። አዲስ አበባ ላይ ግን ባንዲራ አልያዙም። ይህም ትልቅ ትርጉም አለው። ባንዲራ የአገር ክብርና ፍቅር ነው። የህዝብ አንድነት እና ትሰስር በባንዲራ ይገለጻል። አንገት ላለው፤ አንገቱን የሚያስደፋ እውነታ!

በግብጽ መከላከያ ሃይል ነጻ የወጡት እነዚህ 27 ኢትዮጵያውያን ካይሮ ሲደርሱ የግብጹ ፕሬዚዳንት አብዱል ፈታህ አል ሲሲ ፕሬዝዳንታዊ አቀባበል አድርገውላቸዋል። ቅድምያ ለሰብአዊ ፍጡር ክብርን ከመስጠት የሚመነጭ ተግባር ነው። ትልቅ የፖለቲካ ትርፍ ቢያገኙበትም ይገባቸዋል። ክቡር የሆነን ሰው ነብስ አትርፈዋልና ይህ ለኛ ትልቅ ትርጉም ነው የሚሰጠን። መልካም ስራ ለክፉ ቀን ስንቅ ነው።

አዲስ አበባ ሲገቡ ግን ሃይለማርያም ደሳለኝ ሊቀበሏቸው አልቻሉም። ምክንያቱም ግልጽ ነው። ለሳቸው ያለገደብ የተሰጠው ስልጣን ተቃዋሚዎችን እና ዲይስፖራውን መሳደብ ብቻ ነው። ምናልባትም ለኚህ አሻንጉሊት ዋነኛው ችግር አይሲስ ሳይሆን አሜሪካ ላይ የተነሳው አልሻባብ ነው። አሜሪካ ባሸተተች የኛዎቹ ያስነጥሳቸዋል። ለዚህ የአሜሪካ ቆሻሻ ጦርነት የኢትዮጵያን ወታደር ለመላክ አላንገራገሩም። የኛ ወገን እንደ ከብት ሲታረድ ግን የመረጡት ብሄራዊ የሃዘን ቀን ማወጅ፣ ከንፈር መምጠጥ፤ ሻማና ጧፍ ማቃጠል …። ምክንያቱ እነሱ እንደሚሉት የድንበር መዋሰን ጉዳይ አይደለም። ይህ ቢሆን አሜሪካ ሽብርተናን ለመውጋት አፍጋኒስታን ወይንም ሶርያ አያዋስናትም። መውረር ባስፈለጋት ግዜ ፓናማንም ግሪናዳንም ወርራለች። ሶማልያ ላይ ከሰፈረው ሰራዊት ስንቱ እንደሞተ በፓርላማ ሲጠየቁ የቀድሞው ጠቅላይ ሚንስተር ሲመልሱ፤ “ይህ ጉዳይ እናንተን አይመለከትም!” ነበር ያሉት። የፓርላማ አባላት ይህንን ወሳኝ ጉዳይ የማወቅ መብት ከሌላቸው ታዲያ ለማን ነበር ሪፖርቱ የሚቀርበው? ለአሜሪካ?

አለም ስለ አይሲስ ጭፍጨፋ ሲጨነቅ፣ እነሱ ግን ምርጫው ነው እንቅልፍ የነሳቸው። እናም በዜጋው ሰቆቃ ሳይሆን በሰላማያዊ ፓርቲ ላይ ተጠምደዋል። አይሲስን ከመዋጋት ሰማያዊ ፓርቲን ማጥፋት ይመርጣሉ። የመከላከያ ሰራዊቱ አንበሳነት በሃገር ውስጥ ብቻ መሆኑን አስመስክሯል። በዜጋው ላይ ኮማንዶ ሲለማመድ አሳዩን።

ለእነሱ ሽብርተንኛ አይሲስ ሳይሆን ጋዜጠኛ ነው። የጸረ-ሽብር አዋጅ አውጥተው ጋዜጠኛ እና ተቃዋሚዎችችን ያፍኑበታል። ሽብርተኛው ዜጋዋ ሳይሆን አይሲስ እንደሆነ ግብጽ ትምህርት የሰጠቻቸው ይመስላል። ከራስዋም አልፋ እኛኑ ስትታደግ አየን።

በዚህ ሰሞን የቴድሮስ አድሃኖም ፌስ ቡክ ገጽ ተጨናንቆ ነው የሰነበተው። የስደት ቀውሱ ያመጣውን ችግር ይዞ ትንሽ የፖለቲካ ትርፍ ለማግኘት የሚደረግ ጥረት መሆኑ ነው። የኝህ ሰው ስራ ጨርሶውኑ በፌስ ቡክ ላይ ሆኗል ያስብላል። ጨጓራው የተቃጠለ ዜጋም ይህንኑ ገጽ የንዴቱ ማብረጃ አድርጎታል።

በሳምንቱ መጀመርያ ላይ አይቴ ቴድሮስ እንዲህ ብለው ጽፈዋል። “የመጀመሪያ ዙር ከሊብያ ተመላሽ ወገኖች አዲስ አበባ ገብተዋል። መንግስት ጥረቱን አጠናክሮ ይቀጥላል።”

ታዲያ ሚኒስትሩ እንዲህ ይበሉ እንጂ እነዚህ ወገኖች ሲገቡም ሆነ አቀባበል ሲደረግላቸውም አልታየም። እውነት ነው በኢትዮጵያዊነታቸው ሳይሆን በዘር እየተለኩ፣ ለገዢው ፓርቲ ቅርብ የሆኑ፣ ወዘተ በሱዳን በኩል እንዲገቡ መደረጉ ተሰምቷል።

ተስፋዬ ሁሴን የተባለ ወገን በዚያው ጽሁፍ ስር እንዲህ ሲል መለሰላቸው፣ “መቸስ ውሸትህ አያልቅ፣ በቀደም እለት የደቡብ አፍርካ ተመላሾች ብለህ ቀደድክ። ነገር ግን እዚህ ከደቡብ አፍርካ የገባ አንድም ስደተኛ ባልነበረበት፣ ተመላሾች ብለህ ስትዋሸን ዝም አልን። አሁን ደግሞ ከሊቢያ … መጥኔ ውሸትህን ለሚጋቱ አድርባዮች! ጊዜ እየጠበቅህ ብቻ የእንትን ተመላሾች በል። ነገ ደግሞ የሰማይ ቤት ተመላሾች እንደምትለን ተስፋ አደርጋለው። በውሸት፣ በፌዝ 24 ዓመት…”

ቴድሮስ አድሃኖም መጻፋቸውን ቀጠሉ፣ ስለ ሁለተኛው ዙር ተመላሾች። ዙቤር ኡስማን የተባለ መላሽ ደግሞ “አገር የሌለው ሰው የሄደበት ሁሉ አገሩ ነው! ኢትዮዽያውያን ስደተኞች ከሊቢያ ወደ ግብፅ፤ የግብፅን ሰንደቅ ኣላማ እያውለበለቡ ሲወርዱ! ከሃበሻ ምድር ተሸርፋ “አገር” የሆነችው ግብፅ ዛሬ የእንጀራ እናታችን ሆነች!” ሲል ነበር ቁጭቱን የገለጸው።

እርግጥ ነው። ስልጣን ላይ ያለው ቡድን ለዜጋው ግድ አይሰጠውም። አንድ ኢትዮጵያዊ ይልቅ አንድ የህንድ ወይንም የሳዑዲ ዜጋ በሃገራችን ትልቅ ክብር አለው። ከዜጋው ይልቅ ለባእዳን “ባለሃብቶች” ደህንነት የሚጨነቅ ስርዓት ነው። ሲጀመር ዜጋው ከሀገሩ እንዲሰደድ ያደረገው ብልሹ የሆነ ስርአቱ ነው። አርሶ አደሩችን ከቀያቸው እያፈናቀለ፣ ለም መሬታቸውን ለህንድ እና ሳዑዲ ባለሃብቶች በመናኛ ዋጋ በመቸበችብ የወጣቱን ተስፋ ገደለው። ወጣቱ አገር የለውም። ለመኖር ሲል፣ ፍትህ ፍለጋ፣ ስራ ፍለጋ፣ እንጀራ ፍለጋ ይሰደዳል።

የአሜሪካ ድምጽ ራዲዮው አዲሱ አበበ ከሊቢያ ሁለት ስደተኞችን በስልክ አነጋግሮ ነበር። ሁለቱንም ወደሃገር ቤት መመለስ እንደሚፈልጉ ጠይቋቸው የሰጡት ምላሽ “መመለስ አንፈልግም!” የሚል ነው። እነዚህ ወገኖች በሞት ጥላ ውስጥ ሆነው እንዲህ ማለታቸው በሀገር ቤት ያለው ችግር ምን ያህል የከፋ መሆኑን ይጠቁመናል።
ሰሞኑን በወገኖቻችን ላይ እየደረሰ ያለው ግፍ አዲስ አይደለም። የአይሲሱ ግድያ አለም አቀፍ ትኩረትን ሳበ እንጂ በሳዑዲ አረቢያ፣ በደቡብ ሱዳን፣ በኬንያ፣ በታንዛኒያ፣ በየመን፣ በደቡብ አፍሪካ፣ በእስራኤል ወዘተ ፍጹም ኢ-ሰብዓዊ የሆነ ድርጊት በዜጎቻችን ላይ ተፈፅሟል። ሴቶች እህቶቻችን በጎረምሶች ተደፍረዋል። በአሰቃቂ ሁኔታም ገድለዋል። ለዜጎቹ የሚከራከር አካል ባለመኖሩም የተናቅን ህዝብ አደርጎናል።

እስራኤል ሃገር በፈላሽ ሙራዎች ላይ እየደረሰ ያለውን የዘር መድልኦ አለም ሲያወግዘው የኛዎቹ ዝም ነው ያሉት። ባለፈው አመት ናይሮቢ ውስጥ ሰባ የሚሆኑ ኢትዮጵያውያን እየተለቀሙ ሲታፈሱ እና ሲታሰሩ እዛ ያለው የኢትዮጵያ ኤምባሲ “ኬንያ ውስጥ ጉዳት የደረሰበት ሕጋዊ ዜጋ የለም” ሲል ነበር መልስ የሰጠው። ሊብያ በፈራረሰች ግዜ አፍሪካ ዜጎች በየኤምባሲያቸው ገብተው ሲጠለሉ ኢትዮጵያውያን መሄጃ አልነበራቸውም። በመጨረሻ ግን የናይጄሪያ ኤምባሲ ተቀብላ አስተናገደቻቸው።

አይሲስ ወደ የመን እየገባ መሆኑ በተሰማ ግዜ ሰይፉ ፋንታሁን አንድ ዘገባ አቅርቦ ነበር። በዘገባው ላይ የመን ያሉ ኢትዮጵያውያን መንግስት ከወሬ ያለፈ ምንም ነገር እንዳላደረገ ይናገራሉ። ይልቁንም ዓለምአቀፍ ሞዴልና ተዋናይ የሆነችው የሐረር ወርቅ ጋሻው ስደተኛውን ለመርዳት የአቅሟን እያደረገች እንደሆነ ጋዜጠኛ ግሩም ተ/ሐይማኖት ተናግሯል።

በየመን እየታየ ያለውም ጉዳይ እርግጥ “ኢትዮጵያ መንግስት አላት ወይ?”..የሚለውን ጥያቄ የሚመልስ ነው። ጋዜጠኛው የመን ያለው የኢትዮጵያ ኤምባሲ “እንረዳቸዋለን ወይስ እናርዳቸዋለን?” ነው ያለው ሲል ባሰፈረው ጽሁፉ በዶቺቬሌ ቃላቸውን የሰጡት የኤምባሲው ቃል አቀባይ አቶ አምደሚካኤል ንግግር ኣሳፈሩን ይላል። “ኢትዮጵያዊያኑን እንረዳቸዋለን። ከአይ. ኦ. .ኤም. ጋር በመተባበር ወደ ሀገር መመለስ የሚፈልጉትን እንመልሳለን” ብለዋል። … ” አዎ ይረዳሉ ግን ኤምባሲ ውስጥ ላሉ ሰራተኞች ነው። ..እኛን ግን እንረዳለን ማለት ፈልገው ሳይሆን እናርዳቸዋለን ማለታቸው ነው። ሲያርዱ እንጂ ሲረዱ መቼ ታይተው ነው።” ብሎ ነበር የጻፈው።

እውነታው ይህን ይመስላል። አንዳንድ የስርአቱ አጨብጫቢዎች ታዲያ ይህ እውነታ አይወጥላቸውም። ዜጋ እየተሰቃየ እነሱ ግን ስለ ህንጻ ይነግሩናል፤ ስለ ታምራዊው 11 በመቶ የኢኮኖሚ እድገት ይሰብኩናል። … ሕንጻና መንገድንማ ቅኝ ገዥዎችም ሰርተዋል። ለዚያውም እነሱ ከሚነግሩን የበለጠ።

ሕዝብ ደግሞ እያለ ያለው ፣ “ከህንጻ በፊት ነጻ!” እንሁን ነው! ሀገር ማለት መሬት አይደለም። ሃገር ማለት ወንዙ፣ ተራራው፣ ሽንተረሩ፣ አደለም። ሃገር ማለት ሕዝቡ ነው። የህዝቡ ሰቆቃ ግድ የማይለው አካል መንግስት ሊሆን አይችልም።
